After reading this article from the Vancouver Sun, you might not be so optimistic about Canada's economy in the future.  Though we have done well in the past, all reports show that Real Estate sales have slowed down last month.  Now a new report is indicating that even though we have a lot of people finding jobs, people in the USA are still losing jobs.  Guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.
